My first hyper fixation was Pokémon. Well, probably after animals in general. Anyways, some of you may know, my mom was very religious. She bought into the Satanic Panic of the 90s and made me throw away all my Pokémon stuff. I still really loved anime, and monster anime. I defaulted to Digimon, but it ended up becoming a huge part of my life because I socialized in the fandom online. I made fakemon before y’all had fakemon at Esse’s Digimon Adoption Agency. There were a ton of other websites like that. I also became pretty close with SarahJBAngel, and we used to text RP our Digimon OCs with others. One of my friends who I still talk too, to this day, I met on a Digimon-anime-autistic-fave message board. For some reason, out of her own ignorance, my mom bought into this criticism people kept giving her at church about me. People were not happy that I didn’t care about God enough and would constantly be drawing or talking about Digimon. “You’re just obsessed” (LMFAO) and y’all it got so bad I was humiliated in one of my classes because of this. For SOME REASON, I don’t think it was my school, but everyone had to abide by this rule my mom set for me. Probably as a punishment for something stupid, and because it wasn’t physical, she didn’t view it as cruel. Anyways, in 5th grade, we had an art project where we had to make puppets. I loved Guilmon at this time, and so I naturally made a cute little red dinosaur puppet. But I was told, “you are obsessed. You have to change your puppet. Your mom says you’re too obsessed” and this was a power battle I had with the adults in my life for a minute. Anyways, I cried miserably in class and changed it to a brown dog with ANIME EYES lol.

For some reason, Christian’s had it in their head at the time that anything from the east was bad because it referenced Buddhism or other concepts like evolution. Whatever. It’s racist and also insane. I battled a lot with people about anime, of all fucking things. It was the reason I started COMING online, because everyone in my church would put me down for my interests. And oooh, we have to make sure our daughter fits in. You can’t like Pokémon or anime, Daughter.

Eventually that came to an end and my mom calmed down but WOW I can see these sentiments coming back now. It never went away. I just have control of my life now because I’m not a child lol

it’s  about  time  that  i  make  a  proper  verse   page,  and  as  i’m  revamping  the  blog  rn  it’s  on  its  merry  way,  but  i  def  wanna  devote  some  time  to  flesh  out  the  verse  i  occasionally  operate  within  for  the  sake  of  more  expansive  rp  :  the  one  where  aerith  lives. 

crazy,  i  know.  it  isn’t  always  a  necessary  one,  as  many  times,  i’m  more  than  happy  to  operate  in  a  verse  that  takes  place  during  the  game  (  so  as  to  delve  on  more  sweet or  sad  moments  that  only  make  the  knowledge  of  her  fate  that  much  more  painful  )  or  within  some  weird,  spirit - realm  lifestream  ass  area  where  she  serves  as  a guardian  (  in  the  likeness  of AC,  if  you  will  ).  however,  some  times  have  called for  the  what  if  of  the  future,  and  i’ve  put  a  decent  amount  of  thought  into  that  what  if,  so  without  further  ado  . . . . 

everything  does  happen  as  is  :  aerith  and  cloud  meet  in  the  same  way,  she  joins  them  on  their  adventure,  she  sections  off  from  the  group  to  try  and  stop  sephiroth  herself,  and  she  even  gets  impaled  by  masamune.

as  much  as  i  hate  to  say  it,  this  au  does  kind  of  follow  the  logic  of  the  dumb  “  cloud  killed  aerith  ”  claims,  where  she  is  still  alive  after  suffering  her  injury  from  sephiroth.  (  for  y’all  who  fortunately  don’t  know,  some  youtuber  made  this  theory  about  aerith  dying  because  cloud  put  her  in  the  water,  claiming  she  could’ve  still  feasibly  lived  after  the  stab  wound  because  of  where  it  was  and  how  she  didn’t  breathe,  even  though  we  all  know that  is  accounted  for  by game  graphic  abilities  circa  1997  lmao  ).  however!  aerith  does  live,  but  not  without  obvious  physical  trauma.

after  she’s  injured,  aerith  is  quickly  brought  to  icicle  inn  in  hopes  of  saving  her  (  full  circle  baby,  she  was  bornt  there  !!  ).  the  group  stays  with  her  awhile  and  waits  for  her  to  wake  up  as  she’s  being  cared  for,  but  eventually  have  no  choice  but  to  continue  their  journey  and  hope  that  they  can  retrieve  her  in  the  future.

aerith  does  wake  up  eventually  and  get  to  a  point  where  she’s  able  to  be  interactive  again,  with  the  help  of  general  first  aid  and  healing  magic,  but  never  is  she  like  she  once  was––  she  obviously  sustains  a  pretty  horrible  injury  regardless  of  how  much  white  magic  went  into  undoing  it,  and  is  essentially  condemned  to  taking  it  easy  for  the  rest  of  her  life  . . . .  which  is  a  huge  bummer  for  her  lmao.

throughout  the  remaining  events  of  the  game,  she  stays  at  icicle  inn  (  and  reconnects  with  her  roots  and  shit,  hell  yeah  )  while  trying  to  rehabilitate  post  her  attack.  in  the  end,  she  is  once  again  crucial  in  stopping  meteor  because  at  the  altar,  she  was  successful  in  summoning  holy  (  which  is  canon,  yall  ).  once  cloud  defeats  sephiroth,  he  is  no  longer  able  to  hold  it  back,  and  the  materia  cleanses  the  world  of  all  the  bad  shit.  yay !!

come  time  for  advent  children,  aerith  is  living  with  tifa  and  the  kids,  helping  out  and  still  rehabilitating  after  the  attack.  unfortunately,  she’s  very  weak  in  stature  and  can’t  really  strain  herself  . . .  but  tbh,  that  doesn’t  really  stop  her.  she  continues  fucking  around  at  the  church,  growing  flowers,  and  doing  her  daring  doo  . . .  and  probably  runs  a  little  flower  business  and  make  cloud  deliver  them  for  her,  seeing  as  she  isn’t  as  mobile  as  she  once  was. 

as  far  as  the  events  of  advent  children  goes,  we  luv  that  movie  but  wow  is  it  filled  with  plotholes  !!  and  wow  is  it  hard  to  make  sense  of,  regardless  of  my  au  grand  scheme !!  the  meat  of  that  movie  is  truly  the  #postgamefeelies  it  brings  and  the animation !!  i’d  say  it’s  prob  same  shit  different  day,  where  she  tries  summoning  holy,  but  it’s  weakened  after  its  first  stint  with  sephiroth  and  he  and  the  brothers  are  there  to  restrain  it.  so  when cloud  finally  defeats  sephiroth  and  the  crew,  holy  is  once  again  able  to  shine  down  and  cure  geostigma.  weehaw !!

that’s  . . .  kind  of  what  i’ve  developed.  i  hope  to  write  it  much  better  than  this  when  i  get  to  finalizing  my  verses  page,  but  for  now,  i  just  wanted  to  get  my  thoughts  out  and  let  y’all  know  cus  i  like  to  operate  in  my  lovely,  happy  ending  verse !!  lmk  if  you  have  questions  mwah  :*
